スポーツカーレースの歴史に特化した“Sportscar Spectacles by HIRO”の第8弾は、フェラーリとフォードがしのぎを削り合った1960年代半ばのスポーツカー選手権に於いて１つの区切りとなった1967年にフォーカスします。
前年に引き続いてル・マン2連覇を遂げたフォードに対して、ル・マンこそ落としたものの、330P4を投入してスポーツプロト部門を席巻、同選手権を奪還して雪辱を果たしたフェラーリ。両雄の強さが光った年でしたが、フォード・ワークスは同年一杯で撤退、フェラーリも翌年以降は永らくポルシェの後塵を浴び続けることになります。
今号ではそんな1967年を闘ったフォードGT40 MK-Ⅳ、フェラーリ330P4及び412Pに加え、現在でも高い人気を誇るローラT70 MK-Ⅲに先だってデビューを果たした “ローラ・アストンマーティン”やポルシェ907、シャパラル2F、アルファロメオT33などのライバルや、アルピーヌA210、CD、アバルトOT1300、フィアット124、ロータス47、ランチア・フルビア等、個性豊かに大小様々なマシーンが登場します。

The volume No. 08 of the sports car history series "Sportscar Spectacles by HIRO" will be focus on the watershed year 1967, when Ferrari and Ford were fighting against each other at the late '60s,
The Ford had won the Le Mans races in 2 continuous years, then the Ferrari debuted the 330P4 and took the revenge on the Fords. This is a great year to enjoy two great constructors competing, however the Ford Works retreated at the end of the season, and the Ferrari was also eating Porsche's dust for a while, starting from the following year. This issue will be focusing on the Ford GT40-MkIV, Ferrari 330P4 and the 412P, the still famous Lola T70 Mk. III from "Lola-Aston Martin", the Porsche 907, Chaparral 2F, Alpha Romeo T33, and their rivals like the Alpine A210, CD, ABARTH OT1300, Fiat 124, Lotus 47, and the Lancia Fulvia, all machines with character.
